- I am Modern Girl, hear me ooh and ahh over shoes...

- I am a newly 29-year old single girl from the south and I love it (most of the time). I believe in embracing life, knowing what you're good at, and laughing a lot. A whole lot!

The loveloveloves
- I lovelovelove... Decorating, as in I like to fancy myself a lower-budget, younger, hipper Martha. I am completely obsessed and will spend way more money than I should in order to decorate a room down the the coasters and candle snuffer. If I have to work until I'm 80 because my IRA went the way of the bathwater, at least you'll know I have a fabulous bathtub to ease my arthritis in!
- Men, in spite of, and because of, their flaws. For their ability to mend things if not hearts. For so often knowing just how to push my buttons both good and bad. Because there's nothing better than the initial heady rush of fabulous chemistry. I believe Carrie Bradshaw once called it the Za Za Zu. I think of it as "having that thing," yet still hope for what others call "the thing."
- Writing. This is actually the first time I've written in waaay too long. Forgive me if I'm a little out of practice.
- My family and friends, especially my mother who, at 53, can pull off the catty-hilarious / uberconservative / MikeJonesloving / who-are-you-and-what-have-you-done-with-my-mom schtick better than anyone else on the planet!
- My Netherlands Dwarf rabbit, Bunchkin, aka The Bun. He is mighty small, mighty rotten, and mighty freakin cute. He somehow never fails to put a smile on my face. (seriously, he's like having the best of both a dog and a cat in one body!)
- Singing, because there's hardly anything I do much better than that. It lifts my spirits, keeps me occupied in the shower, and makes strangers in traffic think I am completely and utterly insane - and I wouldn't have it any other way!
- Photography, because it allows me to represent parts of myself that normally just don't come up. It's revealing and yet I'm still behind the camera instead of in front of it.
- And lastly, my iPhone. Wait, really it's a love/hate relationship. Right now it's working. Right now I love it. Sometimes, not so much.
